LITTLE ROCK, AR – Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that displaced two dozen people Saturday morning. The fire broke out just before 10:30am.

Approximately 30 firefighters responded to the call at Westbridge Apartments at 2124 LaBette Manor Drive, just off Barrow Road.

There are no reports of any injuries, but four apartments were heavily damaged by fire and smoke and another four apartments sustained smoke and water damage.

Brandon Dunlap says he awoke when his stepson began banging on his window alerting him to the fire.

"I scrambled out as fast as I could, I actually fell down on my way out, but I made it to safety," Dunlap says.

The American Red Cross remained on scene most of the day providing disaster assistance for the 17 adults and 7 children affected by the fire.  All those affected are staying at other units at the complex on site.
